We teach teachers too!
The Futures Teaching Alliance is committed to recruiting and training enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about becoming outstanding teachers. They recruit trainees in partnership with The University of Warwick and The University of Worcester.
During your training you will have specialist help from Professional and Subject Mentors and develop your practical skills in the classroom, whilst gaining a theoretical understanding of the education profession and the process of learning. At the end of your training you will be awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be designated as an Early Career Teacher (ECT). You will also be awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and 60 Masters credits.

Train to Teach with the Coventry SCITT
The Coventry SCITT is the only school-led teacher training provider in Coventry. Led by Sidney Stringer Academy, an outstanding secondary school in Coventry and established in 2016, we believe that there is no better place to train to teach than one of our partnership schools. These schools provide the essential framework to any teacher training programme, with expert colleagues enabling and empowering beginner teachers to access essential context-specific knowledge of committed, creative and confident professionals.
The Coventry SCITT is made up of over 20 partner schools working collaboratively together with a shared aim and focus to produce teachers of the highest calibre to improve the life chances and outcomes of Coventry’s young people.
Our programme will give you the opportunity to learn to teach ‘on-the-job’. Unlike traditional teacher training courses, our school-based course will ensure that from the outset you are in the classroom, interacting with pupils and teachers and learning first-hand the knowledge and skills you’ll need to become a high quality practitioner.

Warwickshire Early Years Hub
The Warwickshire Early Years Hub (WEYH) focuses on the foundations of education with a birth to 7 years specialism that supports Early Years and KS1. The WEYH is collectively a group of Nursery, Infant and Primary Schools and our aim is to improve the quality of practice and approaches to learning across the EY sector to improve the pathways for children beyond the school gates. Our main activities encompass a SCITT programme, a comprehensive training offer and involvement in research such as the integration of education and mental health projects. The WEYH also provides bespoke guidance and support for schools and settings, including the PVI sector, and we are a driver for EY quality improvement through a strong and developed system of local leadership (including SLEs, NLEs and EY Lead Practitioners.) The WEYH links with the wider network of EY Hubs across the country to champion Early Years provision and feed into national policy to develop and influence the future direction of early education.
Stoke Heath Primary School is proud to be in partnership with the National School Breakfast Programme, providing healthy breakfasts to our pupils so that they are settled and ready to learn.
Breakfast gives children the energy needed for the busy school morning, enabling them to focus on their lessons. All of our children are able to have a bagel in class, free of charge.
